Wilhelm Tell Festival 2018

  • New Glarus, Wi 53574 (map)

Weather strikes again, but we Swiss are tough and the show must go on! Please join us for a unique version of our beloved tradition!

In an effort to preserve the safety of the cast, animals, attendees, and grounds the Wilhelm Tell drama will be moved to the New Glarus Festhaus Stage, by the park on 3rd Avenue!

1pm start time, free-will donation. Hoesly’s Hot dogs and brats, New Glarus Beer, and Swiss cheese sandwiches will still be for sale. 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭

Cast: Please report to the Festhaus at normal time.

Come and enjoy a full weekend celebrating this historic presentation! Share with your family the story of Swiss independence, written by German playwright Friedrich Schiller. It's a live theater presentation with intricate costumes and a lively cast that includes goats, cows and horses. More than 200 local volunteers join to make each colorful performance come to life. Performances are staged in a beautiful outdoor setting, just a short distance from downtown New Glarus.
