NEW GLARUS OKTOBERFEST FOOD VENDOR RULES AND STANDARDS

You’re invited to join us at the New Glarus Oktoberfest! Apply below for a spot as a concession selling vendor. Application is not considered complete unless Wisconsin Sellers Permit, FEIN/SSN, or tax exemption code is provided.
Your reservation will be confirmed on or before September 2nd, 2024. Details about setup and breakdown will be sent to you closer to the event date.

Set up will be allowed anytime on Thursday, Sept 26 as long as it will not interfere with the set-up of the festival itself. The festival hours are Thursday 6pm-10pm, Friday, 5 PM until midnight; Saturday 11 AM until midnight; and Sunday 11 AM - 6 PM. Thursday & Friday participation from 5 PM – 9 PM is optional, but all vendors are expected to be open and operating on Saturday from 11 AM – 8 PM and Sunday from 11 AM – 5 PM.
An accepted application is a commitment to show and constitutes the agreement between the parties, vendor, and New Glarus Oktoberfest.
Vendor will pay a flat $500 fee in order to attend. Applications will no be considered if payment not made with application.
Vendor is restricted to setting up in the space designated by New Glarus Oktoberfest. Space assignments are made by the New Glarus Oktoberfest. Any vendor found setting up in any other area will be asked to leave the premises, will not be allowed to participate in future events, and will forfeit all fees.
Vendor is not allowed to park behind their booth or in the surrounding streets that are closed off for patron traffic. Any vendor parked in these areas will be asked to leave the premises, will not be allowed to participate in future events, and will forfeit all fees.
Vendors must provide their own tent, weights to anchor tents, cooking and storage equipment, tables, chairs, etc. They are responsible for the assembly and disassembly of all items. Prepare for the possibility of inclement weather conditions such as rain or wind. The Oktoberfest staff will not have any supplies available to loan to vendors.
Vendors using grease are required to have some form of covering underneath cookware to prevent stains on public property.
Vendors will have a fire extinguisher in good working order at their assigned spaces. The New Glarus Fire Department recommends a 10 pound ABC dry chemical extinguisher. If you have questions about extinguishers, please contact them at ngfd@newglarusfd.com.
Vendors must dispose of waste in appropriate, predetermined areas.
Stall/tent vendors must provide their own power cords and the provided power source will be within 100’ of booth space.
Food trucks/carts will be responsible for their own power (run on their own generators).
Vendors bear the responsibility for all setup and security needs for their booths. New Glarus Oktoberfest will not be responsible for any loss or damage and the vendor will indemnify and hold New Glarus Oktoberfest harmless for any loss or damage to any of the vendor’s property or any damage or loss sustained by a third party due to installation or set-up by vendor.
All vendors certify that they will cooperate with all standards and procedures, insurance requirements, and all state and village laws and ordinances pertaining to food service and tax reporting. Each food vendor is responsible for paying the state and local sales tax on their food sales.
Vendors may not utilize music, loud speakers, or megaphone devices.
All requests or special needs must be made in writing and received with the completed application. All efforts will be made to honor such requests; however, New Glarus Oktoberfest cannot guarantee that all requests will be granted.
All vendors further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless New Glarus Oktoberfest from any and all claims, demands, loss or liability of every nature, for injuries to persons and/or property, occurring in or about or in any way connected with this Application or Agreement, the event, or their service or any performance of their obligations under this Agreement or Application, to the extent such claims, demands, loss or liability arise out of the negligence or failure of the exhibitor, its officers, agents, employees, representatives, vendors, subcontractors, assigns, licensees, and/or invitees. In the event of any claims, demands, loss or liability arising under this section and their duty to defend, the exhibitor’s responsibility shall include the payment of all reasonable attorney’s fees and all costs of defense and/or litigation, mediation, arbitration, or any other similar claims process initiated under this Section.
